After eight years with a top agricultural technology manufacturer, founder Victor Klüber returned to agricultural practice. At Agrargenossenschaft Rhönland eG he was head of crop production, responsible for high-quality basic feed for 1,700 dairy cows.

Despite sampling, moisture sensor data and weather monitoring, maintaining optimal dry matter in wilted silage was very difficult. Analysis of site-specific dry matter data showed strong fluctuations across the field.

The dry-matter values fluctuated across the field — strongly, systematically, predictably.

Algorithms using multispectral data enable site-specific predictions. A site-specific adjustable mower conditioner led to the first prototype on a Krone Big M 450 – still in use today.
